As on Tuesday, Levallois Paris Saint-Cloud beat Mulhouse in a tie-break on Friday to qualify for the Ligue A final, where they will face Nantes.
Beaten by Nantes in the Coupe de France final, Mulhouse will not have the opportunity to exact revenge in the Ligue A final. It was Levallois-Paris who won the tie-break (3-2: 23-25, 25-20, 25-21, 22-25, 15-10) on Friday in the semi-finals to join the Neptunes. This will be the first final in the club's history.
The Mariannes 92 relied on Serbia's Ljubica Kecman (18 points) and Argentina's Bianca Cugno (15 points) to snatch victory from the Alsatians, buoyed by Americans Annayka Legros (21 points) and Carli Snyder (19 points). This is the first time since 2019 that Mulhouse has not contested the final.
The final kicks off on Tuesday
Last Saturday, Mulhouse won (1-3) at Levallois Paris Saint-Cloud. And the club from the Paris region had tied the tie-break (2-3) on Tuesday, the same night that Nantes had secured their place in the final at the expense of Le Cannet.
The first leg of the final takes place on Tuesday in Levallois, with the second leg next Friday in Nantes.
